Fishing Day at Hayden Ponds

Once upon a time, in a land not too far from here, called Hayden Ponds,

a giant, a girl,

and a flower princess went fishing. The giant taught the girl everything he knew about how to catch a fish.

As soon as the big fish bit the end of her line the giant told the girl to yank on her pole and reel in hard. It was hard for someone so small as the girl and easy for someone as big as the giant.

As soon as the girl landed her fish a great beast came and howled his horrible cry and stomped his formidable feet, and wagged his terrible tail threatening to eat the fish.

The girl pointed her fishing pole at him with a vengeance and swore upon everything holy that she would strike him down if he touched her fish.

The girl with help from the giant managed to get the fish into the net

and taught her how to hold a fish so he won't wiggle. The giant tried to get her to kiss the slimy fish but the girl screamed, "No!" The giant tried to get the girl to touch the fish but the girl screamed, "No!"

So, the giant held the trophy fish for her. The giant and the girl had a wonderful fishing day. The flower princess had had better days.

Moral of the story: Go fishing with giants, watch out for fish eating beasts, flower princesses are not always good company, and toilets with bottomless dark holes and no flushers are scary.
