Claire Bear is 7!!!

Seven years ago today my sweet Claire was born. She has been so fun to share this life with. She loves her stuffed animals. This is Powow #2. She got him for her birthday.
Some things about Claire: She is very responsible and is a big helper around the house. She is very considerate and shares very well with her sister, Kate. She is the best little colorer I have ever seen. She has won multiple coloring contests at school. She is an excellent reader! She loves to camp, hike, fish, and art projects.
Birthday party at the bowling alley with Taylor and Addison Pierce.

Dad got Claire this awesome candle. It starts out as a closed flower then once lit the blossom opens up and spins and there is a little candle on each petal.

Claire is growing up so much she had to have a new bigger bike. She loves to ride it and likes to ride to school with Dad.

Mae Catherine

Our little Mae Mae decided to grace the world on her Daddy's birthday!
Happy Birthday Daddy and Mae Mae
We had a lot of helpers come to our house. Grandma Connie and Grandpa Dale came to our house and helped out. Grandma Connie hardly sat down the whole time she was here. She made me a lot of freezer meals and cleaned my house. Grandma Judy came and watched the other 3 while Dallin and I were in the hospital. She also cleaned my house. Thank you to everyone who helped us out!

Mae is so loved. Her brother and sisters can't seem to get enough of her.
She has lots of dark hair,
 a cute little nose,

 and chubby little cheeks.
She got here quickly at around 1:54 p.m. and weighed 7.13 lbs, 19.5 inches long.
So far she has been a really easy baby. She sleeps really good at night and hardly ever cries. When she does cry it is a really sweet, dainty, girly cry.

We are so grateful you are in our family, Mae!

Chicks, Mother's Day, Finger Painting, Soccer, Zoo...Woohoo!

Well, our first batch of chickens finally got old enough that we gave them away to a good home. We got our second batch of chicks this spring...and boy do we love them! It is a daily struggle trying to keep the kids from handling them too much.

For Mother's Day this year we spent it with Grandma Judy. We went for a drive up to The Ranch and explored the old cabin. Great fun had by all!
On this day we mixed Cool Whip with food coloring and finger painted. It didn't hurt that it tasted good also.
Sam with a fresh squeezed orange juice mustache...mmmm.

The girls' first day of spring soccer. This is Kate's first year playing. She scored a goal on her second game! Claire is a really good goalie and defender! So fun to watch both of them.

Mother's Day weekend we met Diana and some of her kids at the zoo in Idaho Falls. Melissa and Steve and their kids were also there.

Random iPhone Pics

This spring we got 4 new chicks! The kids love them. We got 2 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Buff Orpingtons. Hopefully we can get them raised so we can have us some good eggs.
We were very fortunate to have Mandy, Zayley, and Cedar come and visit us over spring break. The kids had fun playing and Mandy and I had fun hanging out too.

Fishing with Dad. We caught one!

Zayley and claire decorating Easter Eggs

Claire drew this picture of a hummingbird. I thought it was pretty good for a first grader. So proud of her!
Colten, Charles, and Lisa came to visit. We celebrated Colten's birthday while they were here.

Claire surprised me one day and said she wanted to cut her hair short.

Claire in the tub

Claire told me one day "I look like one of those crazy high school boys. And this is my boy smile." I thought it was pretty funny and probably pretty accurate.
We made slime!

This is Claire's Christmas ornament that broke. She loves it and wanted me to take a picture of it so she could always remember it.

Kate decided to cut her hair short too. Don't I have pretty girls?

First Kate told me that she wanted to grow her hair out long, but after seeing Claire get her hair cut she changed her mind.

The kids had fun playing in the mud in the garden, but they didn't have fun getting sprayed off with the cold hose water.

Fun day at the park with Sam, Kate, Claire, Adelaide Dahle, and Berlin Dahle

Sam cut his own hair

Sam was sad when we were all done decorating eggs. All good things must come to an end.

Sam dressed up like a girl. Poor Sam. A life with sisters.

Easter egg hunt

Sam did not want to take a nap. He cried and thrashed around in his crib for awhile. When I went to go check on him he had pulled his changing table pad into his crib and fell asleep under it.
