My Birthday

I never did tell about my birthday. Dallin got me a new sleeping bag that is equipped to keep me warm in 0 degree weather. He also got me those wall decals for the baby room. It was a good birthday. He cooked me dutch oven chicken and potatoes and made me a hot fudge lava chocolate cake with ice cream. Mmmmm.... It was very yummy.

Our New Jackets

Dallin and I both got new waterproof jackets. Thought I would show you. I probably won't be able to fit into mine this spring. Maybe we'll have a wet summer and fall. We're all set to go visit Cathy and Jake in Portland again.

Our Baby Room

Jen has been busy getting ready for our new baby. This is what it looks like so far. I would like to get some pregnancy pictures of Jen but I don't know which would would be easier getting a close up of a wild grizzly bear or one of Jen's tummy and living to tell about it. Maybe i'll have to make some benadryl brownies or any other ideas would be appreciated.

Church Callings

Dallin and I just got put into new church callings. Dallin is a Young Men's advisor. He will be teaching on Sundays when they need him too. I got put in as an Enrichment Assistant. Sorry if the last few blogs are boring. I'm really tired right now so my wittiness is not up to par.

30 Weeks!

Can you believe that I'm 30 weeks already. I only have 7-10 more weeks to go! Our baby is now 14 and 3/4 inches long and about 3 pounds. Our baby's eyes are maturing more and more and now can differentiate between light and dark and can follow a light source with her eyes. Normal adult vision is 20/20 and a newborns eyesight is 20/400. Their blind as a bat! I can't remember if I already wrote a blog about this or not, but just in case we are having a girl for sure. So we are pretty excited about that. Dallin and I are putting the nursery together. It has for some reason taken us longer to put the baby's room together then it was to put our whole house together. It is coming along slowly though. Dallin assembled the crib yesterday.

A Blah Weekend

This last Thursday Dallin and I headed up to Helena, MT to take my nursing boards. When we were about an hour out of Salmon we got into a wreck. We were driving along a mountain pass that had a bunch of curves. The roads were completely dry but we hit some gravel on a sharp turn and started to slide as if the roads were icy. We hit the snow bank on the side of the road. The snow was pretty hard so our truck drove up on top of it and then flipped over onto its side. We were both wearing our seatbelts and we are both okay with no major injuries. I kinda hurt my knee a little bit and got a tiny cut on my finger. We both had stiff necks the day and Dallin's neck clicks when he turns his head. We didn't have to go the ER or anything. Our baby is okay also. Our truck had to get towed back to Salmon. We hitched a ride with the tow truck guy back to Salmon, picked our Subaru up, and then headed out again to Helena. The tow truck guy took forever getting there (2-3 hours), so that set us back quite a bit and we didn't get to Helena until 12:30 AM. There was a snow plow guy that stopped and put cones out for us and let me sit in the cab while we waited. There are only to auto body shops in Salmon and they are both fighting over us.

I had to be up the next morning by 6:30, so I only got about 5 1/2 hours of sleep before I went to take my boards. I had 265 questions on my exam, it took me about 5 hours to take it. My mind was pretty much mush by the end. I don't feel real confident about it either. I find out in a month how I did.

After my exam we drove to Missoula, MT so that Dallin could take his boards the next day. His exam told him his results immediately after and...HE PASSED! Yeah!

We did have fun driving around Helena and Missoula looking at the old historic houses, going shopping, and going out to eat at yummy restaurants.

Time Out for Women

So, a few weeks ago I got to go to Time Out for Women with my mom and Diana. It was a lot of fun. The day went by too fast and I felt like I didn't get to talk to Diana or my mom as much as I wanted to. The talks and music were very good. We all went out to lunch to the good ole tasty Olive Garden. Afterwards Dallin and I went shopping for some baby supplies that aren't found in Salmon or are ridiculously priced in Salmon. Diana sent us home with a whole suburban full of baby supplies so thankfully we didn't have to buy hardly anything for our baby.
