My Funny Little Family

I love these pictures. I always think that it is pictures like these that the kids will look back on when they are adults and laugh.

Kickball at Green Canyon

Kate running to home base
Following Kate's Birthday dinner everyone got together and played kickball. The kids loved playing with all the adults and the adults were kind enough to humor the kids and let them play. It was such a good evening. I love summer evenings like this. You know, the ones where good people get together and eat good food and the kids run and play.

Kate's 3rd Birthday

My sweet Kate has turned three years old! She has been such a joy in our lives. Here are some things about her: When she wakes up in the morning the first thing she says is, "Mom, get me some breakfast." She loves, loves, loves, her big sister! She follows her everywhere and says everything that Claire says. If I ask Kate what she wants to eat she will ask, "What is Claire having?" She loves puzzles. She got some for her birthday. She gives great hugs and kisses. She love her blanky "dee-uh". She loves to cuddle and to be held. She loves to play "ponies" with Claire. She loves to help me cook and bake. Mostly chocolate chip cookies. She doesn't eat the cookies very well though, but she loves the dough! She is just starting to dress herself. She loves to read stories. Some of her favorite songs to sing are "Witch Doctor, Boa Constrictor, Winnie the Pooh (which she calls Honey Poo), Kookabura, Sunbeam, Twinkle Little Star. She loves her stuffed animals. She loves to play with them, but not sleep with them. She loves making forts, watching movies and eating popcorn. We are so glad she is in our family!
We spent Kate's birthday at Green Canyon. Claire went there for swimming lessons for the week. It was so much fun. Grandma and Grandpa Judy drove the trailer up there for us! We camped next to my sister Diana and her family. The kids had fun playing with each other all week! Kate wanted "Mac May Cheese" and stroganoff for her birthday dinner. So, Diana made the mac and cheese for lunch and we had the stroganoff for dinner.

Aunt Melissa made this incredible yummy chocolate cake. It was so delicious!! Thanks Melissa!

Corn on the Cob and Pantsless

This picture speaks for itself.

Tin Foil River

On Pinterest I saw this idea to make a river with tin foil and a garden hose. The kids loved sending their toy boats down the river. It entertained them for about an hour or two. That was nice.

A Day at the Park

Claire has finally learned to pump herself. I gotta admit that it is kinda nice.

She is so beautiful!

Don't you love the hair? She did it herself! My little Kate would swing on the swings all-day-long!
