House Update

So, our house is going up so fast. They are now done with the siding, have the back deck done, windows and doors in, and they are starting to sheetrock. We now get to start thinking about interior paint colors. We are in the process of picking out our exterior door colors. Here are some pics of what our house currently looks like. These pics are of the back of our house. We are sitting on our back deck.

One Month Old

Hey Everyone!

Claire is now one month old. It has gone by so fast. It doesn't seem like I had her a month ago. Happy one month Birthday Claire! We love you!

Sleepy, Sleepy Claire

So, here are some more pictures of our little Claire. She is not remaining so little though. We can tell she is gaining weight because she is getting little fat rolls at her wrists and she feels more solid when we pick her up. I think her cheeks are getting little more chubbier too. Like my mom said she looks like she is a little chipmunk with a cheek full of nuts. :) By the pictures we have taken so far you would think that all she does is sleep and that is true as long as we are holding her. As soon as we set her down her eyes pop right open. She is also becoming Daddy's little girl if you can't tell. She is so cute though, we love her.

I love My Grandmas!

So, Dallin's mom and dad came down the day that Claire was born. They stayed at our apartment because we were still staying at the hospital. When we got home we noticed that they had picked up our apartment. They had done a load of laundry, made our beds, took out our garbage, etc. They even brought us some flowers and ice cream. That Thursday my mom came down and stayed a week. She cleaned our apartment, cooked us meals, shopped for us, prepared freezer meals, held Claire when she cried in the "wee small hours of the morning" (Frank Sinatra), and brought us all kinds of presents. We love our family and all the support they give to us!

The Biggest Loser

So, Dallin and I decided that we are both fat and that we need to do something about it. We decided to join the Biggest Loser Club online. It customizes your meal plans to how many calories you should be eating per day. It also gives you exercises to do and has a place for you to record your cardio workouts. So, yesterday was our first day on the diet. I went running for the first time in like a year and the first type of exercise since I had the baby and let me tell you what, while I was running, I was hurting in places I'm pretty sure I knew I had but had never hurt there before. The diet went pretty well except that at 10:00 pm I had an undeniable craving for graham crackers with Nutella. That dang Nutella; it alone will be the reason I fail miserably. But, today is a new day and so far I have kept to the diet. Wish us luck!

Funny Hospital Story

So, I was always going to write about this story that happened in the hospital but never have, so sorry this is a little bit late. I know I've already told some of you this story, but you'll have to hear/read it again. So, 24 hours had gone by in the hospital and our little Claire still hadn't peed yet. The nurse and doctor were starting to get their panties in a twist about it, so they decided to catheterize her to make sure her pipes/plumbing were all built right. When they got back to the room I asked them how it went. The nurse replied, "Well, as soon as we got all ready to put the catheter in she peed like a boy! She was spraying everywhere and nailed the doctor in the shirt!" I thought what a smart little girl. She already knows that catheters aren't fun. I could just picture what she was thinking, "You are not putting that thing in me!"

The Many Faces of Claire

So, I've noticed that Claire makes a lot of very cute faces when she is napping, so I decided to sit there with a camera and take pictures of all the adorable faces she makes.
