4th of July

 The sunset of the 4th of July was so beautiful!

Every year on the 4th of July we pump up and air mattress. Throw pillows and blankets into the back of the pickup and drive up to watch the fireworks. We also take along a big bowl of popcorn. We set off a few of our own fireworks and sparklers while we wait for the big show. This year the kids rode in the back of the pickup up to Discovery Hill.

Feeling Like a Kid Again

 Earlier in the summer we all had a great time running through our sprinklers.

 Kate and Sam have always been very timid around water. Particularly water that might get into eyes.

 This particular day Claire was having so much fun running through the sprinklers and Kate and Sam were watching her...wanting to join in the fun but not sure about getting sprayed in the face.

 I finally convinced Sam and Kate to run through them with me, holding my hand.

 After they did it once they realized how fun it is...

 and so did I.

 We kept running through them for a good 45 minutes...fully clothed.

 Eventually Dallin joined in to.

 I felt like a kid again.

 Kate would run through the sprinklers with her hands up like this. Still not sure if she liked the water in her eyes.

 She had so much though.

Goldbug Hot Springs

 Not far from Salmon is a very popular hot spring called Goldbug. You have to hike into it. I have never been there, but after seeing these pictures I want to go soon. It looks beautiful!

 The Young Women in our ward went there and they needed another Priesthood holder to go also so Dallin got roped into going. He wanted to Claire with him so she was lucky enough to go with him.

 It looks like they had a lot of fun. Dallin said that Claire did really well hiking but on the way home she got a little weak and tired.
