Halloween

So, for Halloween this year Kate was a lion. As if we needed to add anymore hair to her natural mane.
This is a picture of a girl in our town trick-or-treating with her family. Her name is Juleah Davidson. She is a dancer, the reason she can get away with wearing this costume.


Our Claire Bear was a ladybug. She actually told me this year what she wanted to be. I was surprised. Isn't she just cute as a bug.

We all had so much fun this year. It almost felt like we celebrated Halloween everyday this year. One day we went to the Sacajawea Center for games and a wagon ride. One day we went to a pumpkin patch. One day we carved our pumpkins and she got to go trick-or-treating two days. Lets just say we have enough candy to last us till next year and Dallin and I will probably be the ones who eat most of it.

Kate has been smiling a lot lately. She is so sweet. She is on the verge of laughing too.

Places in Salmon

So, we have now lived in Salmon for about 3 years now and I have always been going to post a blog about the places in Salmon that I love. Rachel has been so good about posting blogs about her new town so she has motivated me to get on with it.

First and foremost I love the beautiful Salmon river that runs right through the middle of our town.

I also love our public library it is cheap entertainment. Every Tuesday Claire and I make a trek to the library for story hour and to get new books.

This is one of our favorite restaurants to eat at. It is called the Junkyard Bistro. Come and visit and we'll take ya there.

We often go to the dog park to let our Cody dog release some of his pent up energy. The Salmon river splits and goes on both sides of the dog park. Hence the name of the park "Island Park."


Salmon is supposedly the area where Sacajawea was born. We also love to go for walks at the Sacajawea Interpretive Center. They have a nice little walking trail with lots of teepees and cool info about Lewis and Clark and Sacajawea.

This is also another place we like to spend our time. This is the best park in Salmon in my opinion. Claire loves the swings and is leary of the slide but she is getting braver. She now love the "big swings" "the ones she can fall out of."

The following are a bunch of old houses in Salmon that are near and dear to my heart. This particular house is called the "Andersen House." Dallin's boss just moved into it and she is having a housewarming party inside of it on the 14th. I'm way excited to go look inside.



This house is for sale. It has beautiful woodwork on the inside and a beautiful banister.


The above two pictures is a house called the "Rose House." At Christmas time people at my work host a Christmas party here. It is so beautifully decorated and has so much charm. It too is for sale. Anyone wanna give me $360,000.


The following are two churches in Salmon that make my heart sing songs from the Sound of Music. The above church is a church that is not too far from my house.


The following pictures are of the "Candy Store." Inside are delectable chocolates, candy, and also some antiques.









And this is a picture of our local bakery that just opened not too long ago. They were closed when I went about taking pictures so I don't have any pictures of their bread. Salmon is growing on me. Whenever I have days when I think I hate Salmon I need to go out and take pictures because it reminds me that I really do live in a beautiful place and if we ever move I know I would miss it and the people.
